the birth of jookin warz | 2007 - 2009

The timeline tells the cross-related story of Daniel Price and Terrance Smith on their purposeful paths that provided longevity for the now world famous Memphis Jookin cultural brand.

In 2007, Jookin battles were a high school spectacle that was combined with a variety of entertainment under one network, operated by Shunn Gunn and Tennetainment. This is where the DP vs GNerd saga began. In 2008, after 3 classic citywide battles, the rivals took a trip opening for Soulja Boy with a big fan and promoter, Chris Bush out of Mississippi via Utah. They chronicled the trip and upon returning, Daniel got the idea to create a DVD Series titled Jookin Warz: Broken Alliance, delivering all the content from their battles and trip away.

G. Nerd would later use the name Jookin Warz as the main event promoter role was passed on to him for Jookin from UDIG Dance Academy, owned by Tarrik Moore.
From there, the popular history that people can track online today began.

The events and actions that followed were purely for the love of our sport.

If you are apart of the true legend of Memphis Jookin, you will be found here in the MUD Ent. Universe on Youtube at OfficialMemphisJookin. You can find nearly all of the battles in the Jookin Warz history on this channel. The big name chiefs of every era always enjoy a piece of fame from this channel.  There have been millions of views over the years and event lovers know where to go when the event has happened, making way for a permanent marketing opportunity one day. G. Nerd's last battle versus Draem raked in over 160,000 views on Youtube and over 1,000,000 views on Twitter back in January. People want to see Jookin Warz grow to the summit of entertainment in Memphis.
